Spring RTE to VT

With an “early” Spring, lets do some riding!

Meet at Canaan, CT at MacDonald’s (or along the route at West StockBridge, MA at No. Six Depot Roastery & Cafe off of the Mass Pike). Then we will head north into NY following Rt-22 and some secondary roads. Finally into VT, checking out some old covered bridges before stopping in Bennington for lunch at the Blue Benn Diner, a classic vintage 1950’s diner railcar. ETA is noon. After lunch, we head south on mostly secondary roads through MA and back to CT, completing the four state swing.

If interested, meet in Canaan at 08h45. KU at 09h00. For West StockBridge, meet ~10h00.

Mileage from Canaan to Bennington is 85 miles. About the same back to CT border, crossing on Rt-8 at Colebrook River Lake. Total round trip time, with planned stops, from MacDonald’s is estimated at 6.5 - 7.0 hrs.
