Quabbin Reservoir Ride [MA]

I scheduled a ride to the Quabbin Reservoir last year, but unfortunately for me I ended up sick on the morning of the ride. Other Coggers took charge and followed my route, and said they had a great time, but I missed out and was never able to do it myself the rest of the year.  
Please Join me on another ride out to the Quabbin, stopping for lunch in Belchertown. I also have an optional stop planned after lunch for the Quabbin Visitor Center and Museum, if anyone’s interested. Entrance is free and the walk thru to review the history of how the Reservoir was made only takes about 20 minutes.  

We’ll be stopping for a view and maybe pictures at the Quabbin Winsor Dam scenic overlook before heading back. On our way back we’ll be stopping at the Sterling Ice Cream Stand for a treat. Ride ends at Dunkins on Rt-119 in Groton MA

Meeting Location:  Ride starts at 8 am from Johnson’s Restaurant, 164 Boston Rd., (Rt-119) Groton MA. Get there early if you want breakfast, please gas up before the ride starts. 

Ride Break Stop: We have a planned stop at the Erving Dunkins on Rte 2 (64 French King Hwy), If other Members want to join us for part of the ride. ETA 10 AM.

Lunch location: McCarthy's Pub, 5 E Walnut St. Belchertown, MA, 01007
Mile / Time: 177/ 5:30 hrs. (not including stops)

Registration/Fees
There are no registration fees, but we're asking everyone to register online so we have an idea of how many people to expect.
